Why is Timely Communication Important?
Did you know that companies may deselect you from a Micro-Internship if you don't respond to the selection email within 24 hours? Timely communication is vital not only for making a good impression, but also for securing and retaining opportunities.
Steps to Take to Ensure Timely Communication
- Make sure your email address is up-to-date. You can update the email address associated with your Parker Dewey account in your profile.
- Check your email daily!
- Respond to selection emails within 24 hours. If you've been selected for a Micro-Internship, reach out to the client as soon as possible. We even have a template so you can do so quickly and with confidence.
- Set expectations. If your schedule doesn't allow you to provide a thoughtful, same-day response to an employer, quickly let them know that you appreciate their email, and when you will be able to send a full response.
