Through its Gigs for Good Program, Parker Dewey collaborates with a variety of organizations across the United States to provide fully-funded Micro-Internships for organizations who meet program-specific criteria. Organizations can engage Micro-Interns who are eligible for the program and participate in these programs at no-cost.
Here's what you need to know in order to participate in a funded Micro-Internship Program:
Organizations who wish to participate in a funded program must carefully review the program eligibility criteria before posting your project. This criteria is defined on the program's website.
In order to participate in a program, you must select that program from the drop-down menu in the Programs list when posting your project. If you do not select a program from the list, you will receive an invoice from Parker Dewey if you select a Micro-Intern for your project and will be expected to self-fund the Micro-Internship.
Each Micro-Internship will be reviewed by the Parker Dewey team before it is approved. If your project does not meet the program criteria, you will receive an email from the Parker Dewey Support Team with information on what needs to change so that your Micro-Internship can be approved for funding through your selected program.

Gigs for Good programs are fully-funded for eligible organizations, but each have specific criteria that organizations must meet in order for their project to be eligible. Projects that do not meet the program-specific eligibility criteria will not be funded through the program. This means that the employer must self-fund the project if they wish to move forward with a selected student.
Program Limitations are set by the school, company, or organization that is funding the program, not Parker Dewey. You always have the option to post a Micro-Internship on Parker Dewey that does not have restrictions if you wish to self-fund a project.
Here is a list of some of the restrictions that a program may have in order for a company to participate:

There are three ways to post a Parker Dewey Micro-Internship:
You can use any of these three options to post a Funded Micro-Internship. No matter what option you choose, when you get to the Edit Project screen, you must select an option from the Programs dropdown menu to indicate the program you would like to participate in.
Once you have selected a program, several sections of your posting may be adjusted to meet the program's requirements. These sections may include:
If the program you have selected limits students from a particular school or affiliation, once you have selected the program, you will see a statement identifying the students who are eligible for the program. Here's an example:
If the program you have selected is restricted so that only current students can apply, once you have selected the program, you will see a statement that indicates that the project will only be available to current students. Similarly, the program may also be available only to undergraduate or graduate students. If this is the case, you will see a statement that specifies these limitations when you post your project. An example of one of these statements is pictured below.
The program may also have specific questions that all applicants are required to complete. These will be visible in the Questions section when you are posting your project. It will also have a note that states "This question is required by the program. Do not delete it." As instructed, you should not delete this question since it is required by the school or organization who is funding the program. An example of one of these program-required questions is pictured below.
If you have questions about program-specific requirements, contact the Parker Dewey Support Team.
Some Micro-Internship programs are available during specific times of the year (e.g. Winter Break or Summer Break). Others may be available on an ongoing basis but only when funding is available. To find out when a program may be available again, visit the program's website.
When a program is not available, it may receiving funding again at a future date. If this happens, organizations who have participated in the past may or may not be eligible to participate again depending on the funding organization's requirements.
If your desired program is not currently available, you may be able to post your project as part of a different program. Check out the Gigs for Good Open Programs list to see alternative programs that may be available for you.
Parker Dewey welcomes the opportunity to partner with postsecondary institutions or organizations who are interested in creating their own Micro-Internship program. With a Gigs for Good Program, your organization sets the project parameters and identifies the Micro-Interns and employers who are eligible to participate. Parker Dewey partners with you to support all other aspects of the program including:
Design custom websites for participants;
Day-to-day administration to address questions from Micro-Interns and employers;
Invoicing and payment; and
Collecting feedback to support companies' future hiring and students' professional development.
