Before viewing available opportunities on Parker Dewey, you must complete a few sections of your Parker Dewey profile.  There are additional sections that you can complete at a later time if you wish.  Click here to learn more.

Complete the sections below to create your Parker Dewey profile:

Education

Enter a few characters of your academic institution or education provider's name.  Select your school from the list.  Your School is a required field because many organizations offer opportunities only for specific schools.  If you have not completed your academic program but are still pursuing it, you should still add your School to your Parker Dewey profile.

If you attend a US based academic institution that is not available in Parker Dewey, contact the Parker Dewey Support Team.

Type the name of your academic major or the program you are pursuing.  Click Enter to add this Major/Program to your profile.

  • Be sure to spell the name of your Major/Program correctly and with correct capitalization. Organizations will see this on your profile and these errors can reflect poorly on your application.
  • You can add multiple majors and/or programs if you are pursuing multiple programs at the same institution concurrently.

Select the Degree you have received or are pursuing from the drop-down menu.

Select the Start Date when you began your academic program.

Select your anticipated graduation/completion date for your academic program.  Do not worry if this changes; you can always update your Parker Dewey profile.

Tip for Success: If you have attended multiple postsecondary academic institutions, you can add those once you have completed the other required sections of your Parker Dewey profile.

Location

Parker Dewey requires Career Launchers to provide a Current Location and Hometown as part of their profile.  This is required as it is helpful to prospective employers who may want to connect with talent who are either from or live close to their organization.  Many organizations use Parker Dewey Micro-Internships as a way to identify talent for longer-term roles including internships and full-time roles.

  • If you attend an in-person academic program, the current address can be the city/state/zip code for your school
  • If you do not reside in the United States, you can choose "International" as your "State."

Adding a phone number is optional but can be helpful for Parker Dewey to have another way to contact you about an opportunity.  Your phone number is NOT shared by Parker Dewey with anyone including an organization who wants to hire you for a Parker Dewey opportunity or your school.

The question "Are you willing to relocate for a full-time offer" is visible to companies who are considering you for an opportunity on Parker Dewey.  You can always change this if your plans change.

Adding up to three US zip codes that reflect areas you'd be interested in moving to after graduation is optional but highly recommended.  This information is only shared with organizations if you apply to their Parker Dewey opportunity.  Companies use this to identify candidates who may be located near one of their locations where they may be hiring for a long-term role.

Work Authorization

Since all opportunities on Parker Dewey are paid, all Career Launchers must be eligible to work in the United States in order to apply for Parker Dewey opportunities.  Select the appropriate option in the drop-down menu under Work Authorization."

  • International students studying at a U.S. college or university should check with your school's international student office BEFORE applying to Parker Dewey opportunities.
  • Undocumented students must have a valid Social Security Number (SSN), Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) BEFORE applying to Parker Dewey opportunities.

Parker Dewey does not share your specific response to the "Work Authorization" question with anyone.  This includes any organization interested in hiring you for a Parker Dewey opportunity or your school.

This is an example of how your Addresses, Work Authorization and Availability responses would appear to an organization who is considering you for their Micro-Internship:

Do NOT add an Affiliation unless you are engaged with that organization or program.

Additionally, you can add general categories like "Veteran" or "Honors Student" if this applicable to you.  Hit ADD after each new affiliation and check its successful addition to your profile.
